Two 'Hahoe Tal' masks (Treasure No. 121), wood carved and painted, matching wood case, cover inscribed in ink. Ten masks of 'Yangju byeolsandae nori' (Mask Dance Drama of Yangju), including 'Miyarhalmi' (The Seductive Old Woman), 'Somu' (Young Shaman), 'Ch'wibari' (The Good-for-Nothing), 'Omjung' (The Monk with the Fester). Made from gourd, wood, rice paper, painted, with cotton hood. Partly inscribed on the inside with the date (e.g. 24.4.82), name of the mask and name of the mask carver. Some of these masks are illustrated in the book from this lot: Dieter Eikemeier and Michael Gööck: Danced Caricatures - Traditional Mask Games in Korea. Stuttgart, Belser, 1988, p. 85.
